The 2018 Junior Umpire Clinic will be held on Thursday February 8th from 3:45pm - 5:45pm on the baseball field behind Chaparral Elementary. All Junior umpires must attend the clinic. We are pleased to continue our "Junior Umpire Program." This program will allow those kids ages 11 (If they play in the Majors Division) and 12+ the opportunity to umpire games in LRLL. The junior umpires have the same opportunity to earn points for their teams as our regular volunteer adult umpires. This is a great avenue for kids in high school to earn "community service" time and get some free food after games!!!  Contact any of the UIC's if you have interest in learning more about the program.

Just a heads up, we are requiring all plate umpires, not wearing the full helmet, to wear dangling throat protectors in 2018. Look like an umpire, act like an umpire, have fun and work on your craft. Remember, it's your game!

Contact Scott Hemp at, Mike Sexton at  or Troy Dose if you have questions or would like some on the field training.

2018 LRLL Spring Umpire Uniform - ALL UMPIRES will be issued a BLACK umpire shirt and a BLACK Flex-Fit umpire cap with our traditional LR logo.

Uniform Pick-Up

Junior Umpires: After you have signed up for a game, you can pick up a shirt and hat at the Cox snack bar as of Feb 27th.

Adult Umpires: You can pick up your shirt and hat immediately following each of the rules clinics on Feb 8th and 20th.

Please wear a BLACK or GRAY t-shirt under your umpire shirt, as well as Charcoal or Heather gray slacks. Black socks, black belt and black shoes are strongly encouraged. Umpire gear (chest protectors, shin guards, face masks, ball bags, indicators, and plate brushes) are available in the storage room behind the snack bar at Cox and in the green storage bin in the 3rd base dugout at Oso.

Thank you to all the great dads who call games for LRLL. And thank you to all managers, coaches and parents who adhere to our local rules. Your appreciation of our volunteer umpires is central to the growth of our umpire program.
