Opening Day is here! Saturday, February 24th!


Umpire Gear will be handed out at the Mechanics Clinic at the end.  Make sure to get your Umpire Shirt and hat from Mike before you leave. 

2024 Volunteer Umpire Clinic Information. Kids can’t play without volunteer Umpires!!!!!

All Managers, both coaches and 2 parent volunteer umpires from all teams Rookie division and above must attend 1 rules and 1 mechanics clinic. Coach pitch and T-ball coaches and managers are encouraged to attend.

We have scheduled an adult mechanics clinic for Sunday, February 4th at 8:30am - 12pm at Cox Sports Park.  There will also be a Junior Umpire clinic on Saturday, February 17th at 11:30am - 3pm at South Mission Viejo YAP

District Umpire Clinic dates.

Rules Clinic #1 Tuesday Feb 22nd 6PM at Norman Murray (24932 Veterans Way Mission Viejo, CA 92692)

Rules Clinic #2 Monday Feb 28th 6PM at Norman Murray (24932 Veterans Way Mission Viejo, CA 92692)

Adult Mechanics Clinic Sunday Feb 4th 8:30a - 12p at Cox Sports Park (only 1 Mechanics clinic scheduled so make sure you attend)

Junior Umpire Clinic Sunday Feb 17th 11:30a - 3p at Marty Russo YAP (Clinic open to any Majors players and above up to age of 18, junior umps will need to attend this clinic to be eligible to umpire this season)

The District is also hosting an advanced rules and an advanced mechanics clinic. If you are interested in either of those see me for more information.

Umping Uniform Information



2024 LRLL Spring Umpire Uniform - ALL UMPIRES will be issued a BLACK umpire shirt and a BLACK Flex-Fit umpire cap with our traditional LR logo.

Uniform Pick-Up

Junior Umpires: After you have signed up for a game, you can pick up a shirt and hat in the umpire room behind the Cox Snack Bar.

Adult Umpires: You can pick up your shirt and hat immediately following the Mechanics clinic at Cox on Sunday Feb 4th.     

Please wear a BLACK or GRAY t-shirt under your umpire shirt, as well as Charcoal or Heather gray slacks. Black socks, black belt and black shoes are strongly encouraged. Umpire gear (chest protectors, shin guards, face masks, ball bags, indicators, and plate brushes) are available in the storage room beside the snack bar at Cox and in the green storage bin in the 3rd base dugout at Oso.
